Our society was again invited to display our members models at the leading model engineering exhibition in the UK Midlands  . . . . . . .The Midland Model Engineering Exhibition at The Fosse Exhibition Centre in October 2018.

Our society was privileged to have had a special individual and a fine model engineer in Gordon Smith as a member for over 40 years, until he died earlier this year. Our model engineering society was formed in 1947, so this year, 2017, represents the 70th anniversary of the club being established. The Great Central heritage railway invited our society to exhibit models at Rothley station for their 'Model Event' held over Friday, Saturday and Sunday of 16 / 17 & 18 June 2017.

We were fortunate to have fair weather day to welcome visitors to the 2017 Midlands Federation Rally which we were privileged to host at our track this year.  Over 50 people attended the rally  . . . . . . |MORE|

On Saturday 4 June 2016 members were invited to visit the impressive Bombardier train servicing facilities at Etches Park, Derby.  This extensive servicing facilities are used to maintain the 23 type 222 'Meridian' diesel electric multiple unit sets as well as classes 153, 156 and 158 operated by East Midlands Trains . . .  . . . |MORE|
